Five-Day Seminars:

THIS IS THE MOST COMPLETE DOLL SCULPTING SEMINAR AVAILABLE!

·        SCULPTING A PORTRAIT HEAD, ARMS, LEGS, SHOULDERPLATE AND MAKING THE COMPLETE SET OF MOLDS: Students spend five days sculpting and mold making. The result is a complete set of molds of their own, original, porcelain doll. Teaching fee………………………………………….$425. per person

·        ADVANCED SCULPTING TECHNIQUES: Students spend five full days sculpting with terra cotta clay. Sculpt a portrait bust and a full figure. Learn firing and finishing techniques……$425. per person

Two-Day Seminars:

• SCULPTING THE HEAD OF A BABY, CHILD OR ADULT: Students sculpt an original head with socket or flanged neck. On day two, everyone makes a mold of their head…………$225. per person
• SCULPTING HEAD, HANDS AND FEET: Students sculpt all the above parts without mold making…………………..$225. per person
• PORTRAIT DOLL SCULPTING: The students sculpt from a photo of their choice. No mold making……………………$225. per person

Four-Hour Classes

• SCULPTING A DOLL HEAD OR BUST: this is a special seminar offered at shows and conventions. Classes require 15 to 25 students, with two classes scheduled. If you have a doll club or show, this is a great way to get a taste of the fun!…………………..$85. per person

These sculpture seminars are an opportunity for shops and studios to increase their number of students and the enthusiasm of current students for doll making. They also supply a boost to sales of doll supplies.

All quoted prices are my teaching fees. Materials are to be provided by the shop or the students. I will send you a complete materials list. The sponsoring shop must include their own costs and fees in the final prices they quote their students. I suggest you provide the materials for the students and include that in the seminar price. I recommend the following formula as a guide:

For a 3-Day Class:

Teaching Fee………$300.

Materials…………....$25.

Studio Profit……….$125.

Price per Student….$450.

As an extra bonus, when a class has a minimum of  6 students, the studio owner takes the class free of charge!

SCHEDULING INFORMATION

·        The minimum number of students required is 6. Maximum is 15. For classes in the US, I cover my own traveling expenses.

·        For Classes outside the US and Canada, the host studio must pay traveling and lodging expenses.

·        Seminars are scheduled well in advance to give the studio time to fill them. There is no penalty for canceling seminars. If fewer than six students enroll, the studio must let me know ASAP. I will work with you for mutual success.

·        Once a date is set, studios should collect a 50%, non-refundable deposit. I require a $500. deposit sent to me at least one month prior to the class in order to book reasonable airfare.
